The LUCI/PHILIPS city.people.light award

 

 

The international city.people.light award was an annual competition run in conjunction with Philips.

This award represented a significant step towards promoting the use of light as an essential component in urban development. It honoured the towns or cities that best demonstrated the added value that lighting can bring to the urban environment.

The 2016 city.people.light award ceremony took place on 4 November 2016 in Seoul, South Korea during the LUCI Annual General Meeting.

  • First prize: Aalborg (Denmark)
  • Second prize: Seoul (S. Korea)
  • Third prize: Emmen (Netherlands)
  • Special mentions: Lyon (France) and Busan (S. Korea)
  • People’s Choice award: Emmen (Netherlands)
