Societal Added-Value of Smart Urban Lighting Working Group

LUCI Pillars - Governance

The working group, entitled “Societal Added-Value of Smart Urban Lighting,” reflects on how to harness lighting innovation in a meaningful way for our societies.

Objectives

The main ambition was to develop the LUCI White Paper Cities’ Guide to Smart Lighting through a collaborative process between cities. Two co-creation sessions with the cities were held online in March and April 2021, resulting in rich discussions to determine the contents of the White Paper. Several international thought leaders in the domain were also interviewed by Philip Ross, co-author of the guide.

LUCI member cities involved

The City of Eindhoven (NL) led the exchanges, other involved LUCI members were Albertslund (DK), Glasgow (UK), Helsinki (FI), Budapest (HU), Seoul (KR), Stavanger (NO), and Fluvius (BE).
