Light Festival Working Group

LUCI Pillars Art and Culture

Since 2020, the Light Festival Working Group gathers LUCI members who host and/or organise or produce light festivals in their public spaces. Through online discussions, in-person meetings and using the LUCI Hub, this group is a place to share best practices, challenges, and ideas on light festivals around the world. It is also the place to start collaborations and co-creation initiatives.

Objectives and activities

The main goal is to open the field of creative lighting to new artistic forms in both permanent and festival lighting. The activities are built around the sharing of knowledge, building capacity, and exploring potential collaborations. The working group especially explores how a co-creation approach can be implemented among the members of the network.
