Lumina Light Festival

The LUMINA Light Festival illuminates Cascais with spectacles of light and colour, video mapping, 3D effects, light graffiti, giant media projections, luminous sculptures and art installations that interact with the public. The use of new technologies that aim to achieve greater energy efficiency is a key aspect of LUMINA, and the selection of the artworks takes into account their energy efficiency in the ratio of energy expended vs public reached.

After 7 editions that left great artistic legacy and a unique cultural contribution for the approximately 1.5 million visitors from municipality, Portugal and abroad, who enjoyed more than 150 artistic installations of light developed by 122 artists from more than 26 countries worldwide, the LUMINA Light Festival discontinued their activity for the time being.
