Light for four seasons – natural and/or artificial

 

In his presentation Visa Salojärvi is going to talk about the lighting conditions on Earth during different seasons, in different parts of the globe. The duration of the daylight changes from zero to 24 hours, depending on the location and time of the year. This causes great challenges for artificial lighting.

 

Visa Salojärvi, Meteorologist, Foreca Ltd.

Visa Salojärvi began working as a meteorologist at the Finnish Meteorological Institute. During that time he also worked as a part time meteorologist for the first Finnish commercial TV channel MTV3. Since 1999, he has been working for Foreca Ltd., the largest commercial weather forecasting company in the Nordic countries, and from 2000 as a full time meteorologist at MTV3.
