10 – 11 October 2024
The LUCI Asia Urban Lighting Workshop (AULW) is the annual regional workshop on sustainable urban lighting tailored for Asian cities in the LUCI network and beyond.
This workshop aims to provide public lighting decision-makers in Asia an overview of the opportunities and benefits of sustainable urban lighting. This year’s workshop will focus on the theme “Fun Light, Fun City.”
This edition will bring you fun by bringing urban lighting trends once again through special lectures, case studies, and networking opportunities. Do not miss your chance to join us in Seoul!
The Asia Urban Lighting Workshop (AULW) was organised for the first time in 2017, by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and LUCI.
It is a unique opportunity for Asian lighting professionals and decision-makers to meet and learn from urban lighting experts and engage in peer to peer knowledge, transfer and exchange of good practices and solutions. This will be enabled especially through group discussions and analysis, interactive work sessions, networking and site visits.

About the LUCI Regional Office in Asia (LROA)
In November 2016, the members of the LUCI network adopted the Seoul Declaration of LUCI during the Annual General Meeting in Seoul, South Korea.
Based on the key values of the Strategic Plan, the Seoul Declaration marked a significant new step in the development of the LUCI network and included the establishment of the first LUCI Regional Office, one for Asia, in the city of Seoul.
The LUCI Regional Office in Asia (LROA), established in 2017, now supports a more balanced regional development of LUCI and reflects the lighting culture and identity of Asian cities in the global conversation on urban lighting.
LROA is managed by a Technical Coordinator, Mr. Seongok YANG, employed by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
