LAiPS Final conference

Bringing life to public spaces with Light Art

The cities of Lyon, Oulu, Turin and LUCI Association, partners of the Light & Art in Public Spaces (LAiPS) project, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme, are hosting the international conference Bringing life to public spaces with Light Art, which will take place in Turin on the 2nd and 3rd of November 2023.

This event will share the knowledge collected by the partners over three years and explore further the benefits and challenges of light & art for cities.

It will be a unique opportunity to learn, share and network, as well as the chance to experience in person the famous Luci d’Artista festival and the permanent light art installations Turin has to offer. This will illustrate the international perspectives presented during a rich conference programme that includes lectures, roundtables and interactive sessions.

Join us in Turin to be part of the conversations about:

  • Creative Placemaking – inclusion of local communities and creating a welcoming neighbourhood
  • Local economy – boosting interest of locals and visitors to add value to public spaces
  • Innovative Technologies – how they can bring a new interactive dimension to cities
  • Sustainability – methods to create lasting and environmentally friendly light art
  • Governance – working collectively and including citizens in the light art projects and policies

We are proud to host this international event that will spark inspiration and further cooperation for urban lighting, cultural and artistic development in Europe and beyond.
