PLUS welcomes the City of Sofia into the partnership

The City of Sofia, capital and largest city of Bulgaria with approximately 3.5 million inhabitants, has joined the PLUS partnership.

Sofia seeks to acquire knowledge and know-how to develop amodernized public lighting systemthatmeets the requirements for brightness, uniformity and glare. It is currently replacing its old lamps with new energy efficient models.

The experience the city has gained in this process, as well as its experience regarding procurement procedures for public lightingmanagement, will be made available to project partners. Sofia, which will be replacing Plovdiv in the project, will attend its first PLUS meeting in Lyon this May.respective solutions for energy efficient urban lighting.
