Open Call – City of Light Jyväskylä 2026
The Open Call for Light Artists is now open for the annual City of Light Festival. It will take place on Sept 25th – Oct 3rd in Jyväskylä, Finland.
The application period is Jan 8th – Feb 15th, 2026. Applicants will be contacted by 30.5.2026.
On the 2025 Open Call, there were over 240 artwork proposals from 30 countries around the world. The City of Light Festival is seeking temporary light art installations suitable for an urban environment, primarily for outdoor spaces. Jyväskylä offers many opportunities to create various light installations in parks, projected onto building walls, in green areas, as well as in river and lake landscapes.
