The Sharjah Light Festival, the first of its kind in the Middle East, invites global artists to showcase their work and supports local creativity. This festival celebrates Sharjah’s rich Arab-Islamic cultural heritage, including its architecture, religion, landscapes, language, history, and myths. In 2018, 18 locations across Sharjah were illuminated, drawing an estimated 1 million visitors. The 12th edition took place from February 8-19, 2023.
Since its inception, the festival has highlighted the cultural significance of Sharjah, emphasizing its status as the cultural capital of the Arab world.
