Light and Motion Putrajaya, better known as LAMPU, aims to introduce high-tech light designs, interactive light related activities and energy efficient lighting materials to the general public. LAMPU (which means lamp in Malay) features spectacular displays of lights, audio & motion incuding projection mapping on the facade of the city’s Grand Palace of Justice. Other highlights include popular installations such as garden lighting, free standing light structures and the decorative arch. The 2014 edition of LAMPU recorded more than 500,000 visitors and received a Malaysia Book of Records award for being the “Largest Light and Motion Festival”. The last edition that took place was in 2019.
