LAMPU 2024: A Successful Return
After a five-year break, the Light and Motion Putrajaya Festival (LAMPU) returned, drawing thousands of visitors between December 27 and 31, 2024. With the theme “Illuminating the Future,” the 8th edition of LAMPU featured various technological and artistic displays in Putrajaya.
Main Attractions and Events
The highlight of the festival was the mesmerizing grand projection mapping on the façade of the Palace of Justice. The five nightly segments, each lasting 30 minutes, took audiences on a journey through futuristic themes, underscoring the festival’s vision of technological advancement and artistic expression.
Additional installations included building lighting effects, themed areas such as Techno Street and Revolution Street, and interactive displays like the Real-Time Augmented Mirror and LED structures. The illuminated float parade was another notable attraction.
International Artists
International collaboration was a key component this year, with contributions from Italian new media artists Michele Pusceddu and Antaless Visual Design, who presented light-based art installations.
New Year’s Eve Celebration
The festival culminated in a spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration at Dataran Putrajaya. The Royal Malaysian Navy’s silent drill performance and electrifying acts by renowned local artists kept the crowd engaged as they counted down to 2025. The night ended with a fireworks display to mark the arrival of the New Year.

LAMPU 2024 attracted both local and international visitors, reinforcing Putrajaya’s position as a venue for large-scale public events.
