Jyväskylä “City of Light” 2021 – Open call for artists
Here is some hopeful news: City of Light returns this autumn! If the situation allows, the City of Jyväskylä will hold the 15th edition of its light festival on 23 – 25 September 2021.
Once again, organisers are looking for public, temporary light works, mainly for outdoor use. The works have traditionally been placed in park and green areas, squares and facades. There have also been works in previous years, for example in shopping centers and in the interiors of partners.
Artists with a completed artwork or a work idea can send more detailed information on the City of Light application form by 14 March 2021 (in English). The City also announced it will continue the negotiations with the artists whose work had to be interrupted last year.
