Join the 2018 Asia Urban Lighting Workshop this June

The second regional workshop on urban lighting targeted at Asian cities in the LUCI network and beyond will be organised by the City of Seoul and LUCI on 27 – 29 June 2018 in Seoul, S. Korea.

Representatives from different cities of Asia are invited to attend the 2018 Asian Urban Lighting Workshop on June 27 – 29 2018.

Organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and LUCI, with the support of CityNet, the workshop aims to provide public lighting decision-makers an overview of the roles of urban lighting in a city.

Based on the theme ‘The Role of Urban Lighting for Sustainable Development in Asian cities’, this workshop will address six subtopics, such as “People”, “Safety”, “Culture”, “Economy”, “Environment”, and “Future”.

In addition to in-depth presentations on urban lighting from various city representatives, this workshop will also include discussions and inter-city exchanges to help participant cities as they move forward with their lighting projects.

Last year, the ‘2017 Asian Urban Lighting Workshop’ concluded successfully with the active participation of 16 city representatives from 8 countries in Asia. It gave a strong sense of the varied range of issues in which Asian cities need to engage in order to carry out strategic urban lighting. It was a valuable opportunity for Asian cities to break down interurban boundaries and research together. Read more about the 2017 Asian Urban Lighting Workshop here
