TAVA – Tartu in Light

Tartu in Light (TAVA 2016) is the first ever architectural lighting design and light art festival to take place in Tartu, Estonia. It will feature site-specific outdoor installations, that deal with Tartu city, its forgotten spaces, its history, its citizens, bringing spatial relationships between places  and non-places into the limelight.

The festival will return in 2018 with a rich programme: outdoor exhibitions, a lighting design conference, a light fair, and a series of workshops – in architectural lighting design with members of the IALD, and in video mapping with professionals. An indoor exhibition will open on 24 October and last for a month.

The 2021 edition took place 27-30 October; for the time being, no next editions are planned.
