Light in Jerusalem

Light in Jerusalem was initially created as a tourism booster to bring people to the Old City of Jerusalem in the evening hours. The Festival takes place in a very complicated urban environment in which there are almost no open spaces, and therefore most of the time lacks perspective for the public to appreciate an art work from a medium to long distance. Theses urban characteristics dictate the need to create a festival in which the audience is continously advancing in order to make place for new visitors. The Festival recently became a “one way street” in which the trails were designed to work in a circular manner.
