i Light Singapore
In 2019, “i Light Marina Bay” will be rebranded as “i Light Singapore” to reflect geographical expansions into the Civic District and Singapore River. At the same time, the festival will kick off on 28 January, in conjunction with the launch of the Singapore Bicentennial (SB) commemoration.
Asia’s only sustainable light art festival, i Light Marina bay features innovative and sustainable light art installations from around the world. Every year, it transforms Marina Bay into a spectacular public light art gallery for the citizens. It invites them to celebrate both public spaces and creativity.
A key objective of i Light Marina Bay is to advocate environmentally-responsible behaviour for a sustainable future. From encouraging artists to use recyclable materials as well as adopt energy-efficient lighting technology in the creation of their light art installations, to working with event and programme partners to more effectively manage resources and minimise waste, sustainability is promoted through all aspects of the festival.
The 2022 edition took place 3-26 June.
