GLOW Eindhoven

Eindhoven has been a source of light for the whole world since the founding of the match factory in 1870 and the light bulb factory Philips in 1891.

Every year in November, the city goes back to its roots with GLOW festival, an enormous exhibition in public space of 30 famous national and international light artists. The light artworks are connected by a walking route of approximately 6 kilometres which runs through the city centre. Besides the light art projects and numerous side-events, there is also an exhibition of innovative, unique works of art created by young talents. All artists are instructed to create a project based on each year’s theme.

The 2022 edition of GLOW that took place from 12 to 19 November marked a shift to the future.

The event’s ambition is based on the vision of “Light Art for All” and the core values of Striking, Connecting, Accessible and Innovative.
