Ghent Light Festival

The Ghent Light Festival sets out a track throughout the city with light, video mapping and light art. The existing lighting master plan, the water canals throughout the city and the urban context, are the basis of the festival. Creativity, innovation, cooperation and sustainability are the main ingredients in the development of this project.

The festival also reflects the other events happening in the city (for example when Ghent was declared “UNESCO Creative City of Music”).

The 2021 edition showed 36 beautiful works of light art.
