Yerevan is the capital and the largest city of Armenia (35% of the population of the country). Situated along the Hrazdan River, Yerevan is the administrative, cultural and industrial center of the country.

The city has undergone major transformations since 2000 with large-scale urban development projects. Tourism is growing rapidly in Armenia and the capital city is one of the major tourists destinations.
