City of London Corporation has decided to join LUCI for continuing to advocate for a more sustainable and circular approach to lighting in cities, understanding better how all our actions can work together to reduce light pollution providing darker urban skies, and provide a safe and healthy environnement after dark for all users. LUCI has been useful for our city to help us on how we can ensure our cities provide the best environment for night time workers, residents, visitors and businesses to support the night time economy. But also to encourage a holistic approach to lighting considering the design, delivery, operation and maintenance of artificial light in the public realm within the spaces between buildings, and also the buildings themselves.
