Belgium

This diversity is reflected in the city outlook: the landscape, architecture, atmosphere, etc… strongly varies from one neighbourhood to another. In this particularity resides the richness of the city. A compact city that you can easily cross on foot, by bike, with the bus, the tram or the metro.

Urban lighting in Brussels
The Lighting Plan of the Brussels Capital Region wants to emphasise and strengthen this richness. As for the Regional Lighting Masterplan, it covers two major fields of action: on the one hand, there is the lighting of these roads and spaces; on the other hand, there is the illumination of landmark buildings and landscapes along these roads.
The Brussels Lighting Masterplan aims to make people rediscover Brussels at night and create inviting routes for walks or bicycle rides. Brussels is currently equipped with traditional lamps. The plan to migrate in LED lighting is on the run and must be achieved by 2030.
