Bright Brussels Festival 2018 – call for projects

 

visit.brussels, the Brussels Tourism Agency, invites artists to submit their proposals for the next edition of Bright Brussels, the European capital’s light festival. The event will be held from 22 to 25 February 2018. Lighting designers, architects, designers and artists from all fields and disciplines are invited to submit proposals by Sunday, 17 December 2017.

The illuminations will be displayed in 10 separate places. For the first time, the route through the festival will extend towards the historic heart of the city. It will enable visitors and inhabitants alike to (re)discover lesser-known districts in Brussels.

Submitted projects will have to exploit the characteristics of each site (quays, fountains, churches), and more generally enhance the rich architectural heritage of the city.

 

 

This is the third edition of the Bright Brussels, Festival of Light. It is organised by visit.brussels on the initiative of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region. Previous editions were held in 2013 and 2017, and this light festival is now expected to become an annual event.
