Bran Castle

Bran Castle is one of Romania’s national monuments and landmarks, situated near Bran and Brasov, on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia.
The castle sits high on a mountaintop and serves as a museum, displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie. There is also a small open air museum park at the bottom of the hill exhibiting traditional Romanian peasant structures from across the country.
The fortress is commonly known as Dracula’s Castle, the titular character of the popular Bram Stoker’s novel. While there is no evidence that Stoker knew anything about this castle, it remains one of the several locations linked to the Dracula legend.
