Durham, location and access

Durham City is one of England’s premiere Heritage Cities and is located at the centre of North East England. At its heart is the UNESCO World Heritage Site which provides the iconic cityscape recognised by people all over the world. Comprising Durham Cathedral and Durham Castle, the city receives over 4 million visitors a year.

The city is surrounded by a rural county comprising of breathtaking Dales, a dramatic coastline and a Vale steeped in history.
