Get ready for Putrajaya LAMPU light festival 2017

 

 

 

Putrajaya (Malaysia) has announced that the fifth edition of its light festival Light And Motion Putrajaya 2017 (LAMPU 2017) will be taking place from  28 to 31 December 2017.

LAMPU (which means lamp in Malay) features spectacular displays of lights, audio & motion incuding projection mapping on the facade of the city’s Grand Palace of Justice.

Last year’s festival, LAMPU 2016, attracted  over 850 000 visitors and was the largest lighting festival in Malaysia. It also remains the Largest Lighting And Motion Festival, according to the Malaysia Book of Records, since 2014.

Initiated in 2013 as the Putrajaya Lighting Festival 2013, and later renamed LAMPU, the festival has evolved to become a key annual event, garnering interest from the lighting industry, professionals, art lovers, photographers and tourists as well as the mass public.

Putrajaya, the Federal Government Administrative Centre of Malaysia, is a model city that has been developed based on detailed planning, innovative urban design and architecture. It is the first city in Malaysia that has introduced a Lighting Master Plan. Perbadanan Putrajaya, also known as Putrajaya Corporation, the local authority of Putrajaya became a member of LUCI in 2002.
