‘Belgrade of light 2009’: the festival is now illuminating the Serbian capital
From 10th -17th September 2009, Belgrade (Serbia) will be shining with creativity and innovation thanks to artistic lighting installations, exhibitions, workshops, conferences and concerts. The festival will light up all of Belgrade’s potential, bring to life several treasures hidden in the urban landscape and highlight the importance of lighting with an environmental approach.
The 2009 edition will continue discussions about the lighting identity of the city through reflections on the cultural, architectural, urban and social values of their approach to lighting.
The festival will demonstrate and promote the high quality work of local artists and Belgrade’s particular sustainable development efforts.
LUCI will also be represented at the festival as Alexandre Colombani, General Manager of the association, is invited to make a presentation about the network.
A platform for creativity, experimentation, artistic and professional discussions and the exchange of ideas on the subject of lighting, ‘Belgrade of Light’ is a unique cultural event dedicated to lighting in Serbia. The aim of the festival is to bring together, in Belgrade, actors from all over the world involved in the lighting domain, to open up new perspectives on lighting regarding artistic expression, design, energy saving, city identity and, indeed, visions of a brighter future.
