The City of Naples prepares its public lighting renovation program with a conference debate on “How to light urban ancient sites?" (June 30, Naples)

The preliminary announcement of the event and the call for speakers are available (presently in Italian) on: www.convegnoilluminazionecentristorici-comunenapoli.it

Within the program of revitalization of the ancient urban sites of the City of Naples, “UNESCO World Heritage”, the renovation of the public lighting installations is planned, for which about 14 millions of euro are already available. The task is not easy because of the diversity of the lighting requirements that are to be simultaneously met, such as those related to the proper valorization of the sites, the citizens and tourists security and road safety.

Thus, to the aim of collecting ideas and experiences useful to develop the best solutions for such sites, as well as for the other sites of the City of Naples, the Municipality promotes the conference-debate “Quale illuminazione per i centri storici? Il caso della città di Napoli” (How to light the urban ancient sites? The case of the City of Naples).
This one day conference will cover a number of issues such as valorizations of ancient sites, security and safety, economic and energy optimizations of urban lighting installations, new lighting technologies, practical experiences and case studies, laws and standards, future trends, night-time City color plan, any other topic related to the conference theme.
