LUCI organises three major events during the year:
- The LUCI Annual General Meeting
The LUCI Annual General Meeting (AGM) brings together the members of LUCI for its General Assembly as well as conferences, working group meetings, open conference sessions and the discovery of the host city and its lighting policy. After Guangzhou (China) in 2013, Dubrovnik (Croatia) in 2014, Helsinki (Finland) in 2015, and Seoul (South Korea) in 2016, the LUCI AGM took place in Durham (UK) in November 2017. - The City under Microscope
A “City under Microscope” (CM) enable participants to discover the lighting strategy of a member city over a two-day period. It includes field visits and technical conferences on permanent or temporary lighting projects. The last CM took place in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) in September 2017.
The next City under Microscope will take place in Toulouse (France) in May 2018. Learn more about the event here.
- The Lyon Light Festival Forum
Organized by the City of Lyon and LUCI around 8 December, this initiative brings together LUCI members and other lighting professionals to discuss the challenges related to light festivals, with conferences and receptions. Learn more about the 2017 Light Festival Forum here.
In 2017, LUCI also organised a conference on Urban lighting in African Cities in Dakar (Senegal)
The conference highlighted practices of cities in Africa and brought out the needs and challenges of African cities in urban lighting. See the event webpage here.
